    5 Must-Have Crypto Websites

    Author: Yuval Gov

    Last Updated Sep 14, 2021 @ 11:30

For those of you who are making their first steps into the crypto world, and also for the experts, we’ve picked the five must-have websites. These sites have to be your home page, or at least added to your favorites bar.

    Bitcoin.org: Learn The Basics

Bitcoin.org is a great place to learn some basics. The major Bitcoin website offers a glance at Bitcoin’s whitepaper, which was written by Satoshi Nakamoto. For newbies, make sure you read the “What You Need to Know” section. Bitcoin.com belongs to Bitcoin Cash (which is a fork of Bitcoin).

    Reddit: What’s Going On

While you can always read crypto news on CryptoPotato, the hottest place for the crypto community has always been Reddit. Even though Reddit reminds you of the old forums that were operated during the first years of the internet, the fact remains that users can hide under nicknames and contribute to the crypto-dedicated Reddit communities. The most popular crypto Sub-reddits are r/Cryptocurrency and r/Bitcoin. We can recommend that traders should visit the r/Ethtrader Sub-reddit.

    CoinMarketCap: What’s The Price

CoinMarketCap is the leading currency index for cryptocurrencies. Real-time data from all the trading platforms, including 24-hour trading volumes (by coin or by exchange), daily percentage change, total market cap value, and more. In this category, we must emphasize CoinGecko as well.

If you are looking for an even more convenient way to track cryptocurrency prices – here are 5 crypto portfolio tracking apps you should know.

    Coinbase: Buy Your First Bitcoins

Based in San Francisco, USA. Coinbase, founded in 2012, offers a great exchange for beginners, which is a good place to start. The only disadvantage is that Coinbase only has FIAT integrations in 32 countries (led by the USA). Before buying any cryptos, we would recommend that you read our Bitcoin for beginners guide.

Another great option is to sign up and buy on the biggest exchange by volume – Binance.

A third option, and more regulated, is eToro. Established in 2006, eToro also offers an easy way to buy, hold, and store your first cryptocurrencies and operates in more than 60 countries.

    BitcoinTalk: Crypto Hardcore Forums

Despite losing its popularity over time, BitcoinTalk is still a huge forum zone that coordinates everything around the crypto world.

This includes information about new crypto coins and coin announcements, discussions about Bitcoin Core, and a lot more. Like Reddit, It is essential to know who to listen to, and those not worth even reading. The simplest way is the level of trust, and the number of messages can also indicate if the author is a newbie or worth reading.

    Bonus Websites

    • Tradingview – The platform offers a wide variety of technical tools, such as graphs for all cryptocurrencies and more. Tradingview can run in a web browser or as an application. It is a trading platform and social network for analyzing financial assets and trading ideas. The amazing thing is that this service is currently free of charge. You can create professional graphs using their available tools.
    • CoinCodex – This is a coin index website, just like Coinmarketcap. However, CoinCodex has some advantages. Such as an improved user experience thanks to the fabulous design, coin prices are automatically updated, news outlet aggregation, and a crypto guides section.
    • Coin Market Cal – Anyone involved in crypto knows there’s a huge amount of information to be found on the Internet and that it is almost impossible to keep track of all the various events in the hundreds of projects. This calendar is solving that problem. The idea is a calendar of events that are fed by the community. Anyone can add an event onto the calendar and specify details about the event (for example, a conference, software update, product release, etc.).
